How Are Individual Therapy Sessions Structured?
At Therapy Utah, our experts guide you through a multi-stage healing process:
- We assess where you’re at: our initial assessment helps us identify what you’re dealing with and how you’re approaching your challenges. By matching you with a therapist whose methods and communication style are an appropriate fit for your situation, we create an environment where you feel heard and supported.
- We help you get out of a crisis: Our therapists prioritize your comfort, health, and safety—priority number one is to help you out of the place you’re in when you come to see us.
- We treat the root of the problem: Once we’ve helped you deal with your initial challenges, we take an in-depth look at their underlying causes, using a variety of methodologies to help you acknowledge and process your trauma in healthy ways.
Am I a Good Candidate for Individual Therapy?
The reasons our clients decide to begin therapy are as diverse as they are themselves. Some begin therapy for help to resolve a specific issue—others realize their life has become unmanageable, discover they need support to set boundaries, or find that they are simply exhausted from trying to fight an addiction on their own.
The truth is that you don’t have to wait until you feel like you will be a “good candidate”. It’s kind of like waiting to get into shape before you work with a trainer. Our intake specialist will work with you to determine the best course of action for your specific needs. Contact us to speak with a member of our team.
