Couples Therapy & Marriage Counseling in Lehi, Utah
When you and your partner keep hitting the same wall, talking it out alone rarely fixes it. Our licensed couples therapists give you the tools, and a safe place to practice them, so you can work through conflict, broken trust, and disconnection together.

Marriage counseling that meets you where you are
Every relationship has its own history, its own friction, and its own goals. We don’t hand you a one-size-fits-all program. We listen first, then build a plan that fits the two of you.
Working through conflict, betrayal, or old wounds with your partner is hard to do on your own. Without the right tools, and a space where it’s safe to use them, it can feel impossible. Our therapists specialize in working with couples to map out a clear, workable course of action, and to help you both follow through. Couples come to us for all kinds of reasons, from affairs and deception to money fights to communication that’s broken down into the same argument on repeat. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Affairs & infidelity
Rebuilding after an affair is slow, painful work. We help both partners process what happened and decide, honestly, where to go from here.
Betrayals & deception
When trust has been broken, it colors everything. We give you a safe, structured way to talk about it and start to repair.
Communication problems
If you keep talking past each other, we’ll help you slow down, get heard, and actually understand what your partner is saying.
Financial disagreements
Money stress is rarely just about money. We work through the values and fears underneath the budget so you can get on the same page.
How our methods work
Our couples therapists are licensed and trained in approaches with a real track record for relationships. Your therapist may draw on any of these, depending on what you’re facing.
- The Gottman Method — a thorough assessment of your relationship followed by targeted interventions to improve communication, lower defensiveness, and rebuild respect and affection.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — works with the attachment bonds and emotions underneath your conflict to shift the patterns that keep you stuck. Learn more about EFT.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) — uses mindfulness and acceptance skills to ease interpersonal conflict and help you respond instead of react.
- The LIFT Program — our own approach for partners rebuilding faith and confidence in each other after betrayal.
If betrayal trauma is part of your story, we understand it deeply and offer dedicated betrayal trauma therapy. We never weaponize shame to change behavior. Instead, we help you build the tools for real, lasting change. Couples work also pairs naturally with our broader therapy services and family therapy when the whole household is affected.

Before we match you, you’ll complete a 50 to 60 minute intake and initial assessment for $150 so we can pair you with the right fit. Some sessions need both partners present; others may only need one. You and your therapist will sort that out together based on what you’re working on.
When is the right time to consider couples or marriage therapy?
Any couple can benefit from better communication, clearer conversations about friction, or help healing from trauma. Many couples reach out around broken trust, infidelity, frequent arguments, resentment, poor boundaries, financial conflict, addictive behaviors, or separation. If you feel friction but can’t quite name the cause, an experienced, objective third party can help you find it.
How much does couples therapy cost?
Sessions cost $125 to $200 each, depending on the therapist you match with and the methods in your custom plan. You’ll also complete an initial intake and assessment, which costs $150, before we match you with the right therapist for your needs.
What are the benefits of couples therapy?
Couples therapy can help you improve communication, resolve disputes, clarify how you feel about the relationship, rebuild trust, and deepen intimacy. Early on, your therapist helps you clarify your goals, both as a couple and as individuals, so you can make measurable progress.
What methods does Therapy Utah use for couples therapy?
Your therapist may use the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). We also offer the LIFT Program, our own approach for rebuilding trust after betrayal.
Do I need to attend every session with my partner?
Not always. Some sessions require both partners; others may only need one of you. You and your therapist will build a plan around the issues you’re facing and the methods you use to address them.
