Through many years of experience in working with children, teenagers, and families, Wendy has developed a strength-based philosophy and is dedicated to a wellness model. Wendy works to help others find balance and congruence in life while building skills such as personal empowerment.
Wendy’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and she excels in play therapy and working within the family system. Wendy has received specialized training in expressive arts and Bibliotherapy and utilizes models in session such as Gestalt and Jungian play. She is currently working on her certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Wendy is a member of the Association for Play Therapy, Utah Association for Gifted Children and the National Association of Gifted Children.
While working towards her Master of Science in Counseling/Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, Wendy was inducted as a member of the professional honor society, Chi Sigma Iota. Wendy also holds a Master of Arts in Special Education and her undergraduate studies focused on Human Services.
